Wow I didn\’t see that coming, 5 money-making opportunities you are probably missing

September 28, 2006 | Improving Profits | Beth Schneider-Wachner

I was recently inspired by a fly. Yes, a fly. It was caught in the house desperately trying to escape through the screen door, when it was literally inches away from a wide open screen less window. It was buzzing along, seeming to get more and more frustrated because it couldn't get out. Yet, it was just inches from the freedom it was seeking. It was so focused on trying to squeeze itself through the little holes in the screen; it was missing the opportunity to fly through the wide open window.

It's kind of like what my client, Linda Fleishmann, President of was saying to me at the end of our session, "You know, Anita (her operations manager) and I always meet after our sessions and say to each other, ‘why didn't we do that years ago? It's so simple, but we just didn't see it!'" See full post

The Simple Things You Take For Granted Are Costing You a Fortune

September 26, 2006 | Improving Profits, Process Design | Beth Schneider-Wachner

Back when I was a college student, I invited my Grandparents over for dinner to see my first apartment. I made a gourmet dinner of Spaghetti and Salad using every mismatched pot I owned. I set a beautiful table with my hand-me-down silverware, poofed up my hair (it was the early 90's after all) and waited for them to arrive.

After a lovely dinner, the show began. In what was truly just a few minutes, Grandma had cleared the table, packed the leftovers, washed all the dishes (including the pots and pans) and had desert on the table. At the time I just sat there with my mouth open, dumbfounded at how fast she'd handled everything. See full post

To Delegate or Not To Delegate, Why is that Such a Hard Question?

September 23, 2006 | Delegation, Employees & Contractors, Time Management | Beth Schneider-Wachner

Excuses, excuses, I have heard them all.
"It is faster if I just do it myself."
"No one does it better than me."
"I don't know what to delegate."
"I can't afford to hire anyone."

Sound familiar? The key to controlling delegation is to establish what tasks are, how they should be completed and what the final outcome looks like BEFORE you assign them to someone. See full post

Don’t Just Stand There, 8 Steps to Make Things Happen

September 1, 2006 | Motivation, Process Design | Beth Schneider-Wachner

Has this ever happened to you?

You spend hours and hours working on a new process. You dot all the "I"s cross all the "T"s and then some how you still ended up doing it the same ole' way.

You go to a fantastic seminar, you are all pumped up and excited, but then somehow all the stuff you learned just sits on your desk.

Or how about this one. You finally read that book that's been sitting on your nightstand, it had great ideas in it and you see how you could do things a little bit differently to make some more cash. But time goes by, the book ends up on the shelf and you never implement any of those great ideas.

It's like taking the time to research, test drive and buy a new car. Then parking that expensive, shinny new car in the garage and driving the old one. Don't leave your shiny new process in the garage to collect dust. Here is a step-by-step system to get you implementing all your hard work. See full post

Able to Reconnect to Important Relationships By Putting Systems in Place

I have had probably THE best Summer ever, and I owe a lot of that to having systems and a project manager so that things ran smoothly and clients felt completely taken care of while I was away. I truly disconnected and was able to reconnect really important relationships that had suffered lately!

  • "I was a bit skeptical at first, but now, after completing one of Beth Schneider's Million Dollar Marketing all-day workshops, all I can say is WOW! Beth gives a great clear and professional presentation that is interesting, entertaining and really engages everyone. She is one of those rare individuals that is terrific at both doing it AND explaining it. She had great handouts, and also allowed us ample time to put the info into practice."

  • "Working with Beth Schneider has been phenomenal. When I met Beth, I was setting my own appointments and doing my own data entry. I was doing grunt work and I had no time to work on the growth strategies for my business. Beth helped me set up systems and an amazing team and my sales figures rose dramatically."
