A Simple and Fun Way to Keep Your Team Inspired

September 8, 2011 | Uncategorized | admin

To those of you with kids, happy back to school! I’ve seen a ton of back to school pictures on Facebook. All those smiling faces, inspired and ready to go. Makes me almost miss school….almost.

With the kids back in school now is a great time to take a look at your business. You may not know it, but we offer a complimentary Success Session where we’ll talk about your specific business to see what you need to do get your business running without you. Shoot a quick email to Laura@processprodigy.com and she’ll book a time for the two of you to talk one-on-one.

Speaking of getting your business to run without you, you may or may not know that I’m getting married in November. I’ve been working to make sure my team can run things while I’m away for a month. Clients always tell me how they are looking for things they can do to be able to walk away from the business.

I’m excited to let you know that we are planning a very special webinar and new program around how you can have things run…and run smoothly without you. Keep your eyes peeled for the big announcement. In the mean time, here’s a hint in at what it takes to be able to have this kind of freedom. This week's article gives you a simple and fun way to keep your team inspired.
Enjoy,
Beth

Ready for more fun in your business? Here’s some of our very serious team members: Senior Consultant Jami McKinney, VP of Business Development Laura Bullard and CEO Beth Schneider having a great time at a conference last week. Who says you can’t have fun while doing the work you love?

Yay Mike!!!

By Sandye Linnetz, Process Prodigy Systems Coach

My grandson, Max, is 6 months old. Everyone who's met him calls him the "crowd pleaser" because he makes people smile wherever he goes. He's such a remarkably happy, smiley little guy - spreading good cheer like a warm knife spreads butter. We love that he does that and we want him to keep that cheery disposition. We also want him to keep trying new things to become more independent - reaching, rolling and jumping... To help foster his high self-esteem and positive self-image, we give him lots of positive feedback... lots of clapping and "Yay, Max"!

In the Urban dictionary, "YAY" is defined as an exclamation of pleasure, approval, elation, or victory. Yup, yay is exactly what we want to say to a little fella who is doing something that we want him to do again.

It was my son, Mike - Max's uncle - who suggested that "Yay, Max" (complete with extended hand clap) might also be inspirational for the over 30 set! I walked into a restaurant (a very upscale restaurant) on time and my son, "Yay, Sandye"d - me to the delight of everyone within earshot. Yes, I was a little embarrassed, but, if truth be told, also quite delighted.

Two days later I taught a leadership seminar to top level executives and instituted the "Yay, and *clap*" with them. By the end of the meeting EVERYONE was doing it!

The general consensus was that, yes, it's a little silly and embarrassing, but, down deep it just feels doggone GOOD!! What a system! It's instant gratification that takes us back to the happiest times of our childhood... those wonderful times when people liked what we did and let us know! Try it. It works!

Able to Reconnect to Important Relationships By Putting Systems in Place

I have had probably THE best Summer ever, and I owe a lot of that to having systems and a project manager so that things ran smoothly and clients felt completely taken care of while I was away. I truly disconnected and was able to reconnect really important relationships that had suffered lately!

  • "I was a bit skeptical at first, but now, after completing one of Beth Schneider's Million Dollar Marketing all-day workshops, all I can say is WOW! Beth gives a great clear and professional presentation that is interesting, entertaining and really engages everyone. She is one of those rare individuals that is terrific at both doing it AND explaining it. She had great handouts, and also allowed us ample time to put the info into practice."

  • "Working with Beth Schneider has been phenomenal. When I met Beth, I was setting my own appointments and doing my own data entry. I was doing grunt work and I had no time to work on the growth strategies for my business. Beth helped me set up systems and an amazing team and my sales figures rose dramatically."
