A Little Bit Goes a Long Way

April 30, 2007 | Motivation | Sandye

Thoughts from Sandye Linnetz, Systems Goddess, Process Prodigy What about the idea “everything in moderation”? How does that work? Think about this: When you decide to get into better physical shape and begin an exercise program you don’t start by running marathons, do you? Of course not! You begin by stretching your previously underused muscles [...]

April 26, 2007 | Motivation, Success | Sandye

Thoughts from Sandye Linnetz, Systems Goddess, Process Prodigy You can have whatever you want in life… as long as you don’t NEED it. I realize that that doesn’t seem fair, but – oh, well – did you ever truly believe that life was fair? Here’s the straight scoop: As long as you’re not “jonesing” for [...]

Smile!

April 23, 2007 | Motivation, Success | Sandye

Thoughts from Sandye Linnetz, Systems Goddess, Process Prodigy It’s about the smile. Smile and those around you do too. In business – as in life – a happy face makes you more approachable and works like a magnet to attract the good stuff your way. And it’s not just the smile on your face, either; [...]

9 Easy Ways to Get Started

April 14, 2007 | Motivation, Success, Time Management | Beth Schneider

So there you sit with all these things that have to get done - letters, phone calls, paperwork, deadlines to meet - and... you do nothing! Welcome to overwhelm! I know it's all about goal-setting and then the implementation process, but it feels like simply way, way, way too much to do and not nearly enough time to do it in, huh? We've all been there. I was there yesterday. Chances I'll be back there again.

Look, I know that getting started is almost always the hardest part of any task. So, if you can just get yourself started and you can overcome the overwhelm. Okay, sit up and take notes because I am about to share nine of my favorite get started tricks (and feel free to send me some of yours). See full post

Waiting Can Be a Good Thing

April 13, 2007 | Motivation, Success | Beth Schneider

I have always hated waiting. Maybe it's because I was never very good at it. What a waste of my precious, limited time! How unproductive! How boring!

You know what I'm talking about. Waiting for the train to pass or the light to change... when you have some place to be! Waiting in line at the store... when you have something to do! Waiting for your appointment when you got there on time! Being left on hold when you have an important question... or answer... or problem. Waiting for that repair person to show up or the mail or that phone call can be hell on earth! Some of you might even have issues with waiting for a slow speaker to finish a sentence or for the other person to "get the concept". See full post

Who says the sky’s the limit? Part 2

February 5, 2007 | Motivation, Success | Beth Schneider

“The sky is not the limit. The limit is what you set.”
- Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI Astronaut, one of the first two humans to walk on the moon.

“To Infinity and Beyond.”
- Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger.

6. Dream
I set aside time every month where all I do is dream about what could be. Because how can it go from “dreams to reality” if you never dreamt it in the first place? Don’t be afraid to dream big about what you want for your business and your life. If you don’t know where “there” is – how will you ever get “there”? See full post

Who says the sky’s the limit?

January 30, 2007 | Motivation, Success | Beth Schneider

“The sky is not the limit. The limit is what you set.”
- Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI Astronaut, one of the first two humans to walk on the moon.

“To Infinity and Beyond.”
- Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger.

So it seems that all the “Buzz” is about being able to have whatever you want. Are you ready to shoot for the stars (and beyond)? Have you thought about your goals and what you can do to reach them? If you could have anything you wanted, what would that be? And don’t forget to dream BIG. Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI Astronaut said it best when he said, “The sky is not the limit. The limit is what you set.” And since he’s been beyond the sky, I think he’s worth listening to.

Don’t Just Stand There, 8 Steps to Make Things Happen

September 1, 2006 | Motivation, Process Design | Beth Schneider

Has this ever happened to you?

You spend hours and hours working on a new process. You dot all the "I"s cross all the "T"s and then some how you still ended up doing it the same ole' way.

You go to a fantastic seminar, you are all pumped up and excited, but then somehow all the stuff you learned just sits on your desk.

Or how about this one. You finally read that book that's been sitting on your nightstand, it had great ideas in it and you see how you could do things a little bit differently to make some more cash. But time goes by, the book ends up on the shelf and you never implement any of those great ideas.

It's like taking the time to research, test drive and buy a new car. Then parking that expensive, shinny new car in the garage and driving the old one. Don't leave your shiny new process in the garage to collect dust. Here is a step-by-step system to get you implementing all your hard work. See full post

Tastes Like Chicken, 4 Steps to Master the Rubber Chicken Circuit

August 26, 2006 | Motivation, Networking | Beth Schneider

You've sent in your RSVP, forked out your $35 to $60, put on your favorite suit, grabbed a stack of business cards, and practiced your 30 second commercial in the mirror. You are all set to head out to meet your dream client over a plate full of chicken with brown sauce with mushrooms.

Then you are there, eating your chicken and wouldn't you know, your dream client IS sitting next to you. The next thing you know, you're making the rounds and you've got a pile of cards. You are excited as you mentally count all the dollars you just know will be filling up your bank account. Unfortunately, the reality is most people will never do anything with those numbers. The stack of cards ends up living in your purse, in your car or just sits in a pile on the desk. Can you see the dollars disappearing from your bank account? Don't leave your money on the table, or desk. See full post

6 Ways to Get in the Mood and Get Motivated

August 10, 2006 | Motivation, Success | Beth Schneider

It is this time of year that makes me want to crawl in bed and read a book or watch movies, not measure productivity. The holidays are over, it is cool and cloudy outside, and I feel lazy. It is this time of the year that I have the tendency to go into hibernation, with [...]

Able to Reconnect to Important Relationships By Putting Systems in Place

I have had probably THE best Summer ever, and I owe a lot of that to having systems and a project manager so that things ran smoothly and clients felt completely taken care of while I was away.
