Hey there,
I'm about to disappear until the new year so I wanted to wish you happy holidays. Even though the office isn't technically closed until tomorrow, I've already started playing. Here is a picture of my client, www.SumofAllNumbers.com CEO Holly DeVito and I at Kelly O'Neil's holiday party.
Amy, my marketing director and I have spent the last couple of days laying out our marketing plan and it feels really good to know what we'll be doing next December right now.
Can I tell you a secret? I used to be so scared of planning. It all just seemed so overwhelming. I didn't know where to start and it seemed so tedious. So for the first couple of years I was in business, I didn't really do any planning. And you know what, it showed. As soon as I took the time to lay out a plan, my income went way up. Mostly because I wasn't guessing anymore and when a pricey tradeshow opportunity came along, I was ready because I'd already been saving money for it. My pal Holly would call that a budget.
What' I've learned over the years is that planning doesn't have to be overwhelming. Just take it one step at a time. If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed the Microsoft website has some great no-cost templates you can use.
For business planning look at: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=business+planning&av=TPL000

It's never too late to plan.
Have a great holiday!
Take care,
Beth

Do you have the time you want and need to run your business effectively? I've noticed that many people spend ridiculous amounts of time "looking for something"; sifting through file after file. Now, if you're picturing big piles of manila folders and paper - stop - that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the files in your computer. These days, if you consider the hard drives, external drives, online collaboration tools, email files, audio files and video files... and with all the different kinds of documents we tend to save, it can get confusing and difficult to get and stay organized. The current Outrageously Effective System focuses on organizing and naming your files in a manner that will make it easy for everyone on your team to find what they need in a heartbeat. Join now at www.processprodigy.com/oes. Try it out for 90 days. If you don't like send it back and we'll give you a full refund. Sound fair? |
